Product Overview
The VIPER-28 Series is RenQuip’s most powerful hydraulic flange spreading wedge, engineered for safe and controlled separation of flanged joints during pipeline maintenance, valve replacement, gasket removal and industrial field operations.
Despite its compact and lightweight construction, the VIPER-28 generates an impressive 277 kN (62,272 lbf) of spreading force per tool and requires only a 5 mm access gap, making it well-suited for tight or restricted work areas. Using two VIPER-28 tools simultaneously is recommended to ensure an even separation and maintain a parallel flange gap while providing the operator with precise control. The single-pin assembly/disassembly system on the VIPER-28 Series allows for quick maintenance and extended tool life, minimising downtime during critical turnaround operations.
